~Summer Anime 2012~
Well it looks like it is that time again. Spring season is wrapping up in the next week or so and summer season is just over the horizon!
Spring has brought us many awesome shows: Sakamichi no Apollon, Sankrea, Nazo no Kanojo, Acchi Kocchi, just to name a few.
But now it is time to start planning for the summer season!

What shows/movies/OVAs are you looking forward to? What shows/movies/OVAs look absolutely horrible?

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
Looking at that list, I find a few that I'll probably watch.
Kingdom, Sword Art Online, Joshiraku and La Storia della Arcana Famiglia are the ones that most caught my eyes. Joshiraku was written by the same author of Zetsubou Sensei, and thus, is worth checking out.
As for OVAs... Obviously, Persona 4 "True End", Dantalian no Shoka (I loved the series) and Kenichi.

Muv-Luv Alternative, Dakara Boku wa, and Hagure Yuusha no Estetica for complete shows. In the case of OVAs, there's Persona 4's True End and the second Kimi No Iru Machi OVA.

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
If I'm correct that Zetsubou Sensei = Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, then I'm interested in watching Joshiraku.
Persona 4's True End is a definite watch for me as well.
But for now...the list doesn't look that strong, but I'll probably end up watching some episodes of some of them.

I am mildly disappointed in the line up thus far. I will probably only be watching a couple of shows.
I'd realllly like to see a third season of Working!!

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
Yeah, you're right, this season doesn't have much to offer, but I'm expecting a lot from the future.
Specially the movie/anime project announced for Persona 3, as well as Robotic;Notes, semi-secuel (made by the same people and in the same universe, but not really connected) of Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate (which was AWEEEESOME), the OVA promised for Blazblue and some others.

Nothing that really jumps out at me from the list, but I'm sure I'll check out a couple of those shows. Still waiting for the final episode of Sankarea, and just finished Tasogare Otome x Amnesia. I highly recommend both, I've found them to be pretty entertaining.

I prefer the manga of Sankarea XD, don't know, it gives me better feels.

Same, but now that I've watched the anime I have to see it through.Via_01 wrote:I prefer the manga of Sankarea XD, don't know, it gives me better feels.
Also, Hyouka is starting to grow on me. Didn't like it at first, but I'm starting to see it's charm.

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
I still haven't seen past ep 3 of Sankrea, though it seems good so far.
Hyouka was also on my list but i haven't been able to start it yet...

Hyoka is great! I highly recomend it, the same with uchuu kyodai and sakamichi no apollon. The three I most liked from this season.

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
I watched Uchuu Kyodai for a couple of eps but I just couldn't get in to it for what ever reason.

Blazed through the first season of Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere. Will definitely watch the second season!

Updated link to v4.0 of the chart. A few additions, plus everything has a release/air date.

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse was a bit boring at first but caught some steam by the end of the first episode.

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
Watched the first ep of Chitose Get You! . Not exactly sure WHY but it ended up being fairly amusing for a 3min show. Also DL'ing the Tari Tari; gonna give that a try.
I will probably end up skipping Muv-Luv.

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
Tried the Arcana Famiglia and Campione. The first had an interesting idea as a basis, but it was a bit boring. Campione seems to be a bit rushed, but it had pretty good action sequences, and the idea of a "god killer" is pretty interesting.
Edit: And also watched Tari Tari.

I am liking Tari Tari as well.
Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! seems to also be fairly amusing.

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
Muv-Luv's second episode was really action-packed and bloody (dem censored guts). If the prologue was that flashy, I can't wait to see the story in the following episodes!

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
Sword Art Online definitively my favorite. The animation is great and the story too.
I've read most of the light novels, so I know where the story is heading too, but it's still great to see it animated! And they are being loyal to the original work... though skipping a lot, but I guess they can't avoid that.

Two episodes is still a bit early for me to decide, but I'm really liking everything I'm watching. Bingougami ga! so far is probably my favorite so far.

Re: ~Summer Anime 2012~
Haven't tried it, but if you say it's your favorite (and thus, superor to SAO), then I'll watch it one of these days.

I haven't watched Sword Arts Online, so I can't say if it's better. Binbougami ga! is just a funny show with extremely fluid Sunrise animation.
Hagure Yuusha is a bit too fanservicey for most and, although the main character is quite the curious fellow, the show hasn't gone anywhere in the first two episodes.
Love, Election & Chocolate's doesn't look like it'll stand out much.
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse is pretty good so far (3 episodes in).

I seriously recomend Kokoro Connect.
3rd chapter inspired me a little about what to write about...
